Abstract

The article deals with the topic of the digital economy and its impact on the world economy. With the development of information and communication technologies, there are fundamental changes in the organization of economic relations in the world. The digital economy is characterized as an economic activity in which information in the form of numbers is the main factor in production and services. Its goal is to introduce more efficient solutions in the field of production, services, technologies, equipment and product supplies. The article also reminds that computer science is not only about computers, but is the study of information processing and automation (Jee & Sohn, 2022). Business informatics is a science that combines economics, business management, information technology and informatics with the aim of effective functioning of the organization. The article also deals with the field of applied informatics, which applies the theoretical foundations of informatics, mathematics and economics to solving practical problems. The world economy is becoming more and more dependent on information technology and computer systems, and therefore the demand for professionals in the field of business informatics and applied informatics is increasing.
