Abstract
The report provides an analysis of labour productivity development tin an industrial production ofSlovakiafor years 2000 -2013. The aim of this paper is to highlight the evolution of labour productivity in manufacturing inSlovakiabased on data forSlovakRepublic. The analysis evaluated two indicators - the operation and goods revenue and a number of employed persons. The operation and goods revenue is an output indicator of the most important part of the national economy. The number of employed persons is an input indicator of the production process. Labour productivity development was calculated using index analysis, by which, inter annual values of development as well as development fort he whole reference period were assessed. The method can be applied not only to whole sectors of the national economy, but also for individual categories and specific clusters of industrial sectors according to economic activity classification SK NACE Rev. 2. It is possible to use this method also for a regional level of Slovakia and it can be used as a basis for international comparison as well.
